Gossamer Wings

Gossamer Wings

For Lever or Pedal Harp

The word "gossamer" means thin like a spider's web, or delicate like a butterfly's wings. This piece is light, sweet, and delicate. It has a lovely haunting melody after the arpeggiated introduction which returns at the end. The middle section consists of a simple left hand pattern and intervals of a sixth in the right hand melody. This piece is a perfect selection for wedding prelude, unity candle, communion, and "high tea" background music. It is in Bb Major, with easy page turns and two lever or pedal changes.
